Kim has been employed by Crane Elementary School District as the Purchasing & Warehouse Coordinator since her arrival in November 2006. Kim, a native of California, began traveling seasonally from California to Arizona while with her previous employers.

Prior to her employment at Crane Schools, Kim worked in the area of agriculture, and was based in Salinas, CA. Her former employers all have ties to Yuma, which is what brought her here. Kim has worked for Vegetable Growers Supply, Fresh Express and Taylor Farms during her 18 years in the agricultural industry. During this time, Kim held positions in sales, inventory, receiving, purchasing and supervision.

Kim is a National member and a Charter member of the Desert Southwest Chapter. On April 30, 2009, Kim received the 2009 Professional First Runner-Up for the Buyer of the Year. Prior to receiving her award, Kim was installed as the Chapter’s second Treasurer, accepting a 2-year term of service.

Kim and her daughter, Calista are now enjoying full time residency in Yuma. They keep busy at home with their pets that include chickens, turkeys, parakeets, goats, a horse and a dog. They are active in the Yuma Mesa Jackrabbits 4-H club and participate in the Yuma County Fair.
