Larry Weeks is currently a Senior Contract Administrator for the Valley Metro Light Rail. Before his employment with the Valley Metro, he served four years as the Director of Yuma Educational Materials Management Consortium (YEMMC). He was instrumental in the development of the Yuma Education Purchasing Association and YEMMC. Prior to joining YEMMC, he was employed by the Yuma Union High School District (YUHSD) for nine years.

Weeks is both an avid learner and an educator. During the last 12 years while in procurement, he attained CPPB and CPPO certifications as well as an MBA. For a number of years, he served as faculty member for the University of Phoenix and as associate faculty member for Arizona Western College and Northern Arizona University. He also holds a BA from Arizona State University, and is a member of the Executive Board of Trustees for the Mohave Educational Services Cooperative, Inc.

Weeks is a Charter Member of the Desert Southwest Chapter, previously serving as its Charter Vice President, and President. Larry now holds the office of Past President for the Chapter.
